Sarah M. Swanson
Chief Brand Officer, Women's Tennis Association Ventures
Sarah M. Swanson is the Chief Brand Officer for WTA Ventures. In her role, she oversees all brand and marketing for the Women’s Tennis Association. She recently led a rebrand for the WTA, introducing both a strategic repositioning and a new creative identity for the global leader in women’s sport. In partnership with the member tournaments and players, Sarah leads all creative and content to drive fandom and engagement for the WTA.
Prior to the WTA, Sarah served as Chief Marketing Officer at the World Surf League. As the only US-based sports league to offer equal pay to its male and female athletes, Sarah drove all marketing and communications initiatives to bring the WSL to the forefront of the worldwide sporting conversation. Sarah spent the first part of her career in sports with the National Football League. In two roles over close to ten years, Sarah was the Vice President of Marketing for NFL Network and the Head of Marketing for NFL UK. In both roles, she utilized insights and analytics to drive a strategy highlighting the NFL’s position at the intersection of sports, media and culture.
